
| Islamic Terms (Definitions): 12th Imam: Mahdi He is a described as an anointed ruler. Muslims believe that he is the spiritual savior and in order for him to return, there must be global chaos. Both Sunni and Shiite believe in the 12th Imam, although their believes do differ slightly. This topic is to big to write about in this article, but suffice it to say that the Shiites believe that the Mahdi is already here on earth (hidden) upon the revealing of the Mahdi, that will be the end of the world. (They believe that destruction of Israel will prompt that event). Sunni’s believe that the 12th Imam will emerge as an adult and will rule over the earth for several years before the end. Equivalent to Christians Jesus. Al-Qaeda: Islamic Miltant Group operating as a networking multinational, stateless army. (Sunni Muslim) Allah: Taught by Islam to be the one and Only God Caliph: The Head of the State in a Caliphate (Governor of area). Very similar to Imam, But believed to be the rulers of the world, once there is a Caliphate. After Mohammed’s death, there were 4 Caliphs Designated. Caliphate: World Domination, ruled under Sharia Law Dara Al Harb: House of Wars (Infidels) Dara Al Islam: House of Believers (Muslims) Hadith: Accompanying book of Koran. Muslims derive spiritual nourishment and daily guidance. Tells about Mohammed’s life, his actions, deeds, as well as an account of what Mohammed said. (2nd Most Holy written document) Hamas: Palestinian Terrorist Organization Meaning “Islamic Resistance Movement”(Sect of Muslim Brotherhood) Hezbollah: Shiite Muslim Militant Group (Iran, Syria, Lebanon, etc..)(Shiite Muslim) Hijra: A journey made by Mohammed in 622 AD from Mecca to Yathrib (Medina)This trip was the turning point of Islam from a religion to political militant movement. Imam: (Webster’s Dictionary) “a Muslim leader of the line of Ali held by Shiites to be the divinely appointed, sinless, infallible successors of Muhammad” Iman: (Imaan) Concept followed by Islam of There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his Prophet. Infidels: All those who are not Muslims. Islam: A religion that teaches from the Koran (Qu’ran) Jizyah: Tribute Tax paid by none Muslims, permitting them to operate business’s, to live in the country, and for protection. (Right to live) Kabaa: Holy Rock in Mecca Koran (Qu’ran): Holy Word of Islam (Considered most Holy of all written) Offers Guidance, Commandments, Rules, and regulations. Mahdi: (or Mehdi) see 12th Imam Mohammed: Muslims believe he was the Last and Greatest Prophet as taught by the Koran Muslim: One who has embraced Islam, a follower of Mohammed Muslim Brotherhood: An organization, with its 2 swords symbolizing united Jihad. People of the Book: Referring to all non-muslims (references are made in the Koran on many occasions in reference to The People of the Book) Salat: Islamic Custom requiring prayer be made 5 times a day, facing Mecca (Dawn, Noon, Mid-Aft, Sunset, Night) Sawn: During Ramadan (Muslim Holiday,) Muslims must fast from Dawn to Sundown. That means no Eating, drinking, no smoking, and no sexual intercourse) Sharia: Islamic Holy Law (meaning “Way”)Rules deal with marriage, Divorce, Child rearing, Interpersonel relationships, what to eat, clothing, hygiene, Prayer, criminal law, and penalties. Under this law there can exist no true democracy, with one example being Women have half the rights of men as stated in the Koran. Sunni: (Meaning “Habit or Usual Practice”) A sector of Muslims (Appr 75%) who believe after Mohammed’s death that 4 Caliphs would be Mohammed’s successor (Ali Being one of them). The caliphs were to be elected as described in the Koran using Shura by consensus of the Muslim Community (Ummah) Sunni’s are considered to be the more of the Orthodox sect of Islam. Sunni’s attempt to live their life’s to the letter of the Koran and Hadith, observing Sharia Law. Shiite: A sector of Muslims (appr. 25%) who believed after Mohammed’s death, that Mohammed divinely ordained his Cousin and Son in Law “Ali ibn Abi Talib” to be his successor and his direct descendants to be his Successors. Note: Ali was the interpreter of Sharia Law. Shiite’s rejected the other 3 Caliphs that were originally designated. They believe that Ali was the 2nd most inspired man behind Mohammed and was also free from sin, and only his descendants are the rightful Islamic leaders. They believe special spiritual qualities have been granted not only to Muhammad but also to Ali and the other Imams.(Al’s Decendants) Twelvers believe the imams are immaculate from sin and human error and can understand and interpret the hidden inner meaning of the teachings of Islam. If you want to know what Shiites Believe, listen to what their Imams are saying.(Iran is a good example: They preach the destruction of Israel and the west) The main difference between Sunni and Shiite is in the way that the Hadith is interpreted. Favoring writings associated with Mohammed, Ali, and his direct descendants and not putting some much favor towards others who wrote in the Hadith Shura: Social-Political organizational method of selecting leaders by consensus of the Ummah (Muslim Community) Suras: Chapters of the Koran (144 total) Taqiyya: Principal described by Mohammed permitting Muslims to lie to Non-Muslims in an effort to enhance Islam and also can be used to protect Muslims from harm. It can also be used in war. (True Muslims believe they are at war with Infidels) Treaty of Al-Hudaybiyah: A treaty between Mohammed and the Meccans. The treaty agreed to no hostilities for at least 10 years. Mohammed agreed to the treaty because at the time he did not have enough followers to take over Mecca. After 2 years of strengthening his army, he conquered Mecca and converted all occupants to convert to Islam. Mecca was then designated as the “Holy City of Islam”. Non- Muslims were forbidden to enter Mecca upon “Penalty of Death” This is still in effect to this day, both in Mecca and in Medina. Purpose of this Article I want to start out by saying that this article is not being written in an effort to categorically encompass all Muslims into one basket. This article is written in an effort to educate Muslims and Non-Muslims alike. I am well aware that there are Muslims living throughout the world who are not violent nor to they encourage it. My question though is where are and where were the “Moderate Muslims” after the 9-11 attacks. Where are the Muslims speaking out against acts of violence that occur throughout the world. Yes we hear about how Israel attacked Palestine and are appalled at them. What about the daily barrage of bombs that are launched towards Israel. Where are the Muslims condemning their acts of Terror, against innocent people. (Yes that includes children who are killed) Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Luther Pastor living in Nazi Germany. He was quoted as saying “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak, Not to act is to act. I also want to make it very clear that I am in full support of all Citizens of the United States of America, to be able to enjoy their 1st Amendment rights. That is the right to practice a religion whether it is Christianity, Islam, etc… But I also want to be able to exercise my 1st Amendment rights also. That is, my right to practice my faith, the right to speak, the right to assemble, and the right of the press (Write this article). The new philosophy of being politically correct is all well and good as long as it does not hinder my constitutional rights of being treated equally. History of Islam (and Mohammed) The people of Arabia were considered to Polytheist. (Believed in more than one God) In the year 600 AD, Jews and Christians flourished in Arabia. Mecca was a major city in that it was located halfway along the west coast of the Arabian Peninsula. (Which was the commercial Hub) There was also a Sacred Black Rock (Kaaba) located in Mecca, which represented several gods, and many worshipped the rock prior to Islam. In the year 570 AD, Mohammed was born in Mecca. In 610 AD, at the age of 40, Mohammed made claims that he was receiving revelations from Allah. Mohammed would spend one month out of each year for 3 years on Mount Hira. Mohammed made claim that while on Hira, while he slept, he received revelations from the Angel Gabriel. After 3 year, Mohammed began to write what is now known as the Koran. And though many believed in the Old Testament of the Bible and its prophets (Moses, Jacob, Isaac, etc.., and still do today.), Mohammed preached that the Koran is the true word of god and all other writings were tainted. This was the official start of the religion of Islam. In 622 AD, Mohammed and approximately 50 of his followers emigrated from Mecca to Yathrib (later known as Medina). This journey came to be known as the Hijra. This was considered by many to be the axle in time when Islam became known as not only a religion, but also as a political and military movement. Mohammed and his followers attempted to convert Jews and Christians over to Islam describing it as the one true religion. Upon them being rejected, Mohammed made claim that he received a revelation from Allah. (Koran 2:210) It states that the Jews and Christians will not be pleased with you unless you follow their religion. He then warned his followers of the consequences if his followers converting to Christianity or Judaism. This revelation advised Mohammed that Allah had parted ways from the Jews and Christians and/or anyone else that did not follow their beliefs, which gave Mohammed the right to declare war on infidels. This incited a campaign of terror amongst all unbelievers. The Koran endorsed such activities stating “Some you killed, some you made slaves. Allah caused you to inherit their land, their houses, and their wealth, and this is from land that you had never seen before. (Koran 33:26-27) Islam became very powerful in Medina after killing and exiling the non believers out of Medina. Mohammed did not stop there. There were countless wars that occurred from then on. There are 3 note worthy battles that occurred which shaped the present day terrorist acts that occur to this date. The first battle was the Battle of Badr. In March of 624, Mohammed and a little over 300 men attacked a Meccan Caravan (900 People in Caravan)that was passing by. The Meccans being unprepared for war were easily destroyed. This made the Muslims believe that because of the 3 to 1 ratio and they still won, it must have been a blessing from Allah. 4/5ths of the spoils went to the Jihadists while Mohammed kept the remaining 1/5th. In retaliation, the Meccans approximately 1 year later, (625 AD )attacked Medina. (The Battle of UHUD) The Meccans won the battle and only stopped because they believed that Mohammed had been killed. Because of the Lose, the Muslims believed that they had lost favor with Allah. Mohammed blamed the loss on the fact that they were more concerned about the wealth they had gained in previous battles, and forgot their primary goal which was to worship Allah. This caused a return to Islamic traditional values causing Mohammed to become even more powerful. Muslims because of the lost war felt that if they honor Allah and win, they have gained favor. But if they loss, they also felt that they were martyrs and would gain wealth in heaven. Either way they were winners to go to war. For fear of another attack by the Meccans, Mohammed signed a peace treaty. (In 628 AD) The Treaty of Al- Hudaybiyah.(see Islamic Terms, Definitions) Mohammed now feeling safe from attack from the Meccans, because of the treaty, attacked Khaybar, which was occupied by mostly Jews.(Battle of Khaybar) The Jews were tortured, Murdered, and enslaved. The Jews knowing they were going to be defeated, surrendered. The Muslims allowed the Jews to stay on their lands as long as they agreed to pay Jizyah. Similar acts continued through much of Arabia until all the Jews and Christians were defeated. Jews and Christians were allowed to live because the were “the people of the book” and paid their taxes. With all the wealth that was gained and with the increased amount of followers, Mohammed disregarded the treaty of Al-Hudaybiyah and after only 2 years, they attacked Mecca when they least suspected it, conquered it and converted all to Islam. Those that refused where either killed or exiled. To this date, Muslim rulers make reference to the Treaty Of Al- Hudaybiyah. They make reference to if Mohammed was a perfect man then it must be ok to disregard a treaty as long as it suits them. Throughout history, this has shown to be a way of life with the Muslims. A treaty means nothing to them, unless it benefits them. (Taqiyya) Even after Mohammed’s death in 632 AD, Islam continued to grow. Mohammed was succeeded by 4 Caliphs. (See Islamic Terms for Sunni and Shiite for further details) Muslims swept across Africa, Asia Minor, Europe and conquered most of the civilized world. By 751, Islam covered and ruled more than the Roman Empire ever did. Up until 1798, all attempts by Christians to take back land, were always met by defeat. But because of the European Industrial Revolution, it gave them financial as well as Military might to expand. As the Christians were liberated from Jizyah, this caused an increasing economic blow to the Muslim movement. Then in 1798, Napoleon Bonaparte marched into Egypt, which was the heart of the Muslim movement, and liberated it. The trend continued until the lands taken over by Muslims were liberated, ending the 1400 year Islamic rule. (That’s right, I said 1400 years, and in that time frame they estimate that there were over 270 Million killed) Muslims to this day still believe their loss was again attributed to not following true Islam and practicing Jihad. (Battle of UHUD over again) The Jews were able to liberate Jerusalem in 1967. In 1977, there was an uproar in Iran against the Shah of Iran (Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi) The uproar was partly caused by perception of the Iranians, that the Shah was a puppet for the Non-Muslim United States of America. In 1979, the Shah left Iran in Exile. Two months later, the Ayatollah Khomeini became the Supreme Leader. Sharia Law was strictly enforced. Children were sent to their death in an effort to clear the Mine Fields during the Iraq-Iran conflict. Young Iranians were sent to blow up Iraqi Tanks with bombs strapped to their chests. This was the start of the terrorist bombers. Of course lets not forget the 52 hostages that were held by the Iranian Militants for 444 days. All these acts were done under the approval of their Supreme Religious Leader, the Ayatollah. Note: When is the last time you heard of the Catholic Pope involved in such acts. What are the Beliefs of Islam and what does the Koran Teach? The Koran teaches 5 basic doctrines. 1) There is only 1 God, Allah. 2) There are many prophets sent by god (Jesus, Noah, Moses, etc..)but none is superior to Mohammed. 3) God created angels. Some are good and some are bad. 4)The Koran, not the Bible, is the entire and final word of god. 5) There will be a final Judgement. (Heaven and Hell) The Koran also teaches 5 Pillars for the Foundation of their Faith. 1) A Profession of their Faith that “ Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his Prophet”. All Muslims must profess this. Note: As of Late, most terrorists prior to committing the acts of murder cry out “Allah Akbar” which in the Arabic language means Allah Is the Greatest. 2) Salat (or Pray): Slat is the requirement to pray 5 times a day. Although Sunni’s are more enforcing of the 5 times a day than the Shiites, it still is a requirement. The prayers must be recited in Arabic. Speaking from your native tongue will not suffice. 3) Zakat: This is the requirement to give 1/40th (Or 2.5%) of their earnings to the needy 4) Sawm: During the celebration of Ramadan, All Muslims are required to fast and abstain from certain activities. (See Islamic Terms, definition) 5) Haj (Pilgrimage)Requiring that all Muslims at least once in their Lifetime make a religious journey to Mecca and the Kaaba. The Hadith is the accompanying book to the Koran. It is a book written about the life of Mohammed, that provides spiritual Nourishment and guidance. It tells of Mohammed’s actions, deeds, as well as an account of what he said. It tells of his ordering 27 military campaigns which he led 9 of them personally. Why I Fear Islam! 1) Muslims Allegiance: Muslims owe no allegiance to any Government, only to Allah and Mohammed’s ideology. They teach that no government has the right to exist unless it follows Sharia law. It goes further to teach that war must be waged on all governments that do not recognize Sharia, even if they are Muslim rulers. (Wow, look what’s going on in the Middle East today) 2) Dar Al Harb which is a principle that all acts of war towards infidels is morally and legally justified.Fight them till all opposition ends and all submit to Allah (Koran 8:39) 3) The Indoctrination of the young Muslims: There are documented cases of their youth being taught of the evils of Israel (Little Devil) and the United States (Big Devil) Examples Being: Text books teaching 6th graders teaching Jihad against the Jews. 8th Grade text books teaching that Jews are Apes and the Christians are Swine. 9th Grade teaches that the Hour of Judgement (12th Imam)will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and destroy them. 10th Grade Text Teach that Non-Muslims, Muslim Woman, and slaves are worth only a tiny portion of that of a free Muslim Male. (That should wake you woman up). 12th Graders are taught Jihad is the most noble act, which brings one closer to Allah and all of his rewards. These books are not just in the Middle East, they are also here being taught in over 200 schools in America, funded by the Tax Payers of the United States of America. Of course lets not forget about the Hamas affiliated TV Station, aimed at pre-school youth. There was a special program that had a Mickey Mouse look a like named Farfur. Farfur encouraged children to fight Israel which they define as the oppressive invading Zionist Occupier. The last episode showed Farfur being beaten to death by an Israeli and Farfur was instantly a Marty for Allah and became a hero. In the Middle East, there is no higher honor than that of a Suicide Bomber. 4) Saudi Arabia: Our allies in the Middle East? The only common goal we have with the Saudi’s is out money and our mutual dislike for communism. The Saudi’s (Sunni’s strict adherence to Sharia) are the prime financial support for the books that are filled with condemnation of the non-Muslims, Shiite Muslims, and the West. 5) Muslims Willingness to Die: During the Cold War, there was fear of Mutual Destruction. This kept a nuclear war from occurring. Middle Eastern Muslim leaders do not fear death, for they feel that upon there being a war of an apocalyptic measure, that will signal in the return of the 12th Imam. Those Males that die will be martyrs for Allah and will be blessed with 72 Virgins. Those that survive will enjoy the Caliphate that will come to be, under the 12th Imam which will result in world peace under Muslim control, following Sharia Law. (Who are they kidding, they can’t get along now) True followers of Islam believe this to be a win, win situation. Iran is working on getting nuclear capabilities and reject any and all resolutions. They are conducting business as usual, proclaiming the complete annihilation of Israel. (When Saddam Hussein made claims of having Weapons of Mass Destruction we acted, can you blame Israel if they pre-empt a strike on Iran. I wonder how long it would take the USA to react if Canada or Mexico were working on a Nuclear Bomb, with the intent of using it on the United States. I would hope minutes is the answer to that riddle) Be sure of this, if Iran secures a Nuclear weapon, the Islamic (Religion of Peace) Leaders will not hesitate to use them. And in return, Israel will retaliate. The Middle East will be up in flames. If you think we are paying high prices for Oil now, just wait for that sequence of events. Final Words We in the United States of America live in the greatest Country in the world. I am not saying that it’s perfect, it’s far from it. But to those of you who do not like it and what it was founded on (Judea-Christian principles), I say please move and be happy in the land that you choose, run by a government that you agree with. If you choose to stay in America and honor the Constitution, I say welcome. Exercise your 2nd Amendment rights and let me exercise mine. But do not try to force Sharia Law on me or my family. I realize we that practice Judea-Christian principles are at a disadvantage in that we hunger for, Harmony, while the Islamic Religion preaches world domination. In this politically correct world, we attempt to utilize reason and compromise, seeking approval. Islam teaches to destroy (Cut their heads Off) all the non-believers. For those of you that are Muslims, I commend you for reading this. I know and you know that if it were revealed that you read this, you could possibly be stoned for indulging with the Infidels. This is not being written to condemn you or the Islam faith, but to show the differences in the 2 religions. Christianity teaches that those that live by the sword will die by the sword. Mohammed taught Jihad, Jesus taught Love. Mohammed taught to never turn your back from unbeliever, but to face him or suffer the Wrath of Allah (Koran 8:15-16) Jesus taught to turn the other cheek. (Oh by the way, I am not a perfect Christian, I WILL NOT TURN THE OTHER CHEEK) Mohammed was involved in several wars and was credited with killing the Infidels, Jesus never killed anyone, instead he made the sick well and raised the dead. He truly taught peace. Mohammed taught to hate the Jews and the Christians, Jesus taught to love thy neighbor as thy self. Our Government Leaders also speak of Islam as being a religion of peace. (Bush, Carter, Obama, etc…)History, the Koran, and the Hadith teach otherwise. So I would like to ask our politicians, is it that you can’t read or is it that you choose not to see the truth. (I think it is they are trying to be Politically Correct) They make quotes from the Koran of Peace, leaving out those ordering death and destruction. Islam is very clear in that in the Koran, if there are conflicting passages, the later passage takes precedence over the earlier passage. All the passages in the Koran referring to peace were written in the earlier Suras. The references to Jihad, that are associated with Spiritual Jihad, were all written in the earlier texts of the Koran. The later Suras referred to physical violence.
